ALIGARH, April 13: The Department of Ilaj-bit-Tadbeer, Faculty of Unani Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), organised a two-week training programme on “AI Tools in Academic Research” as a value-added course in collaboration with the M.N. Farooqui Computer Centre.
The programme was designed to familiarise students with the growing role of artificial intelligence in academic research. The training concluded with an assessment session in which participants presented their assignments before Dr. Parvez Mahmood Khan, Director, Computer Centre.
Students showed keen interest in the programme, reflected in their presentations, which were appreciated by Dr. Khan.
Addressing the certificate distribution ceremony, Prof. Asia Sultana, Chairperson, Department of Ilaj-bit-Tadbeer, emphasised that while the use of AI in research is now inevitable, it must be balanced with responsible practices to ensure meaningful integration of technology and human insight.
The programme was attended by Prof. Syed Mohammad Safdar Ashraf, Dean, Faculty of Unani Medicine, along with Prof. Ashar Qadeer, Prof. Owais Mohammad and other faculty members, including Dr. Mohd Saad Ahmad Khan, Dr. Mohammad Shoaib and Dr.Safia Usmani.
The initiative was appreciated as a timely effort to equip students with contemporary research tools and skills.
