World Health Day was celebrated by the department of Tahaffuzi wa Samaji Tib (PSM) F/O unani medicine, AMU Aligarh & sponsored by Indian Integrated Community Health Association (IICHA) & Simnan Imperial guild (SIg) on the theme of “My health: My right” on 7^th April. In his welcome address Chairman of the department elaborated the preamble of the 1946 World Health Organization (WHO) Constitution which defines the right to health as “the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health. Article 3, 12, 17, 24 & 25 of United Nations declaration describe it as right of health for children,  right of everyone to enjoyment of highest attainable standard of physical & mental health, children’s right to access of information, child health in detail & right of persons with disabilities respectively. He emphasized upon the health equity, state & individual’s responsibility, avoidance of discrimination, socioeconomic policy to rule out financial burden as its success formula. Principal, A K Tibbya College Prof Badrudduja Khan appreciated the different activities of the department for the welfare of the people’s health. Prof. Ferasat Ali, Dean, F/O Unani Medicine emphasized the need of adoption of Primordial & Primary prevention for achievement of right to health.  The Guest of honour Prof M M H Siddiquee, Former dean, F/O Unani medicine emphasized upon to adopt the holistic approach of Unani system of medicine as a tool for healthy wellbeing. The Chief Guest of the Programme Prof. M.Wasim Ali, Proctor of the University highlighted the various issues of right to health in Indian scenario. Prof S. Moudood Ashraf Former Dean, F/O Unani Medicine who was presiding over the function suggested the implementation of right to health in true spirit so that nobody could be deprived it even during the war. Chairmen of the departments Dr. Farooq Ahmad Dar & Dr. M Mohsin were present along with Dr. Bilal Tafseer, Semnan International’s MD Mrs. Anis F Ashraf, S M Abdussabur Ashraf, President of SIg Mr S.Hasan Ahmad, Dr Nasreen Fatima, Dr. Juveriah.

A slogan writing competition was also organized on this occasion on the theme judged by Dr. Ammar Ibne Anwar, Dr. Abdul Aziz Khan & Dr Naaz Mustafa.1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd& Consolation prizes was bagged by Ms. M. Mushfiq, Ms. Nazia Sadaf, Ms. Zarreen Fatma, Ms. Ayesha Farhee & Ms. Kareema Anis respectively. The prizes was also awarded for Oral / Poster of research paper among MD scholar presented during “World congress on Integrated Community health”. The prize winners were Ms. Sameera Shamshad, Ms. Sehba Zaheer & Mr. Mohd. Junaid in oral presentation while Mr. Zafar Iqbal, Mr. Hafsa Tariq & Ms. Samra Rashid for poster presentation. The programme was initiated with the recitation of Holy quran by Mr. Salman Hasan & beautifully conducted by MD scholar Ms. Sualeha Hasan. MD scholars Ms. Ayesha, Mr M.Junaid, Ms. Anam Kamal, Sehba Rana, Ghuncha Khatoon, Ayesha Farheen & Samrah Saleem assisted in the organizing of this programme. The prgramme was followed by Iftar & Dinner.
